• Day 1

  • Arrive at Cairo Airport, meet & assist and transfer to the hotel.

  • Overnight at Hotel.

• Day 2

  • Al Alamein

    • Drive north from Cairo towards the Mediterranean sea and then west to El Alamein.

    • Visit the British, Greek, Italian and German memorials from the Second World War.

    • Drive to Marsa Matrouh, a pretty town on the shore of the Mediterranean.

    • Overnight hostel.

• Day 3

  • Siwa Oasis

    • Early morning drive through the desert to Siwa Oasis.

    • Visiting the springs of Siwa before seeing Shalli, the remarkable old city of Siwa and the oracle where Alexander the Great was crowned (built by Alexander the Great) overlooking the palm tree forests.

• Day 4

  • The temple of Amun

    • Visit the temple of Amun plus a chance to bathe in Cleopatra’s springs before driving to visit Beir Wahad one of the hot springs in the Great Sand Sea.

    • Overnight in Camp.

• Day 5

  • Baharia

    • Early driving to Baharia.

    • Visiting Gebel Aswid (the fabulous black mountain covered by volcanic rocks).

    • Visiting the ancient Roman springs Overnight rest house.

• Day 6

  • The White Desert

    • On the way to Farafra Oasis, we visit the ruins of the oldest Christian Church in the western Oasis which dates from the 1st. century.

    • Drive through the White Desert to see the impressive limestone formations where the forces of the erosion have created fantastic natural rock sculptures.

    • Drive to Farafra.

    • Visit the local museum with local artists exhibits of the art craft.

    • Overnight camp.

• Day 7

  • Dakhla Oasis

    • Drive to the Oasis Dakhla

    • Visit the Qasr a traditional Islamic style building, before seeing the Roman burial ground at Mezawaka.

    • Overnight Hotel.

• Day 8

  • Mut

    • Visit the local museum at Mut which documents the daily life in the Oasis.

    • Drive to Baalat, the Pharaonic tomb from the 6th Dynasty before a visit to the Pharaonic style village of Bashandi.

    • Drive to Kharga oasis.

    • Overnight Hotel.

• Day 9

  • The temple of Hibis

    • Visit the temple of Hibis with its remarkable wall reliefs.

    • On the edge of the Oasis is one of the earliest Christian cemeteries, Bakawat.

    • The domed tombs and early churches still contain some of the earliest Christian frescoes intact today. Visit Qasr El Gueita and Qasr El Zayyan.

    • Overnight Camp.

• Day 10

  • Luxor

    • Drive to the Oasis of Baris and then to the Oasis of Dush where we visit the temple of Isis before leaving to Luxor.
